Christmas, 1943

         Eric & Frank CAWTHORN with Ray Rumbelow 
         Apparently, this picture was very difficult to take - as none of them could keep a straight face!  According to 
         both  May & my father [Frank}, the photographer sent all three of them outside to cool down before making one 
         last attempt - which is this picture.

         Sadly, the only reason Eric & Frank were home in Christchurch was because of the death of their grandmother, 
         Rachel Ann - my name sake.   She died on 4 December and was buried 18 December, 1943.
